Inspect before using
Inspect holes, touching color regions and partially transparent edges at 400%. Compare on both light and dark backgrounds in your editor.
Does converting a PNG remove its background?
No. Existing transparency is preserved, but an opaque background is treated as artwork. Remove an unwanted background before tracing.
Check your result before downloading
- Small text: compare enclosed letter spaces with the original. Re-enter text in an editor if the letters are wrong; tracing does not perform OCR.
- Holes and gaps: look for spaces that have filled in or shapes that have joined. Try a clearer original if those details are missing.
- Thin lines: inspect both edges and the intended display size. A line that looks smooth when enlarged may disappear when reduced.
- Background: test over light and dark colors. Existing transparency can remain, but a white background or saved checkerboard is not removed automatically.
Before sending the file
Download the SVG, reopen it in the destination editor and try selecting and recoloring one shape. Keep the PNG alongside it until the lettering, spacing and background are checked. Public examples can be downloaded without signing in; converting your own images requires sign-in and available quota.
When to keep the original
A clear PNG may already be sufficient for a fixed-size website image. Use SVG for shape editing or enlargement; keep photographs and texture-heavy artwork as raster images when tracing loses useful detail.

Does a PNG need to be converted just to look sharp on a website?
Not always. A clear PNG with enough pixels can look sharp at the size you need. Use SVG if you need to make a logo much larger or edit its shapes. Keep photographs as images; converting them to shapes can lose detail and make the file larger.

FAQ
Is the SVG really editable?
Yes. Open the SVG in a vector editor such as Figma, Inkscape or Illustrator to change shapes and colors. Letters from the image become shapes: to change a word, type it again in your editor. Some effects may look different between apps.
Will every image look perfect?
No automatic tracer can guarantee perfection. This tool suits icons and logos, not photos. Tiny text, touching shapes, shadows and textures may need manual edits. Try a free preview before buying.
Do you upload my image?
No. Your image and SVG result are not uploaded to the cloud during conversion. Account authorization and quota records use only the necessary usage data. Feedback you choose to submit is uploaded separately.
How long are files kept?
Your images and results stay in this browser for 24 hours. Download them in time, or upload the original again after they expire.
